This is a full-time on-site role for a Building Engineer / Electrician based in Portland, OR. This position will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance and repairs of building systems that include electrical, plumbing, HVAC / DDC controls, and operation of the Central Utility Plant. The Facilities department operates 24 / 7 and shifts are bid by seniority of hire date. This is an excellent career field with opportunities to learn and on-the job training for motivated individuals.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in building maintenance and repair
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Successfully completed a stationary engineer apprenticeship or stationary engineer apprenticeship, or equivalent training.
• Trained on using computerized building controls system (DDC) or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) years experience in central plant operations and maintenance.
• Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
