A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Data Center Technician. Position type : Full-time, Contract Duration : 6 Months Location : Richardson, TX 75082 As a Data Center Technician, you will : Patching cabling between network equipment and customer’s network. Installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack / cabinet / closet. Installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment. Install / swap out cables, switches routers etc. Complete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels. Provide infrastructure cabling break-fix services for network infrastructure. Perform layer 1 troubleshooting Support carrier testing of circuits. Power and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) restoral. Emergency cooling restoration. Fire suppression exercises, restoration, and post fire events. The ideal candidate will have : 2-5 yrs experience relevant experience, preferably at least 1 year in a data center environment. In-depth knowledge of structured calculating. Knowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards. Experienced with Fluke Versiv Mainframe. Requires experience in working in a data centers and communications closets.
