Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Controller to lead the accounting function of the company. The Controller supervises and oversees the operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, staff accountants, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen and hands-on leadership. Responsibilities : Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk. Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s financial performance. Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management. Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on revenue, expenses, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations, renewals, or endings. Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit, company valuation, and tax filings. Monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reporting, as required. Oversees renewal and administration of Insurance package including General Liability, Property, Auto and Workers Compensation. Oversees company Stock Purchase Plan and records. Coordinates annual shareholder meeting. Oversees filing of quarterly and annual reports with necessary local, state, and federal agencies as required, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Assists in the financial bidding of requests for proposals, requests for information, and invitation to quotes in coordination with executives and key personnel. Requirements : A Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Business Administration required (Masters or MBA preferred) 10 years or more of real estate and SAAS experience required in finance, accounting, or another relevant field required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation helpful Proven experience in managing and supervising employees in a financial setting required Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills is required to succeed in this role. Significant experience with NetSuite accounting software and tax preparation software preferred Proficiency in MS Office Suite and general computer and workplace software
