Control Systems Engineer

Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our Southeast team. Office locations for this position are Jacksonville, FL, Maitland, FL, and Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation, programming review, design of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems for Water / Wastewater treatment facilities
• Development of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
• Select instruments necessary for equipment automation, and select appropriate instrument technology
• Control system startup, testing, troubleshooting, process optimization; design control system network architectures and interfaces
• Develop programmable logic controller (PLC) control narratives
• Outline SCADA requirements and functionality
• Develop conceptual and preliminary studies and reports
• Prepare specifications for bidding and construction
• Review contractor plans and shop submittals
• Conduct field visits to review contractor's work and gain resolution of field-related problems
