We are looking for a meticulous Analyst to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee the accuracy and processing of vessel documents and contracts to ensure seamless billing operations. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth within the import / export industry.

Responsibilities :

• Review and verify vessel documentation and contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy for billing purposes.
• Input and upload invoice information into the system while maintaining data integrity.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or missing information in billing records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address any issues related to accounts receivable.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to manage and analyze financial data effectively.
• Ensure timely processing of bills of lading and other shipping-related documentation.
• Monitor and maintain organized records using tools like Microsoft SharePoint and QuickBooks.
• Communicate with stakeholders to address inquiries related to disbursement accounts.
• Assist in generating reports to support financial decision-making.
• Uphold high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or disbursement role.
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions.
• Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, QuickBooks, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong data entry skills with a minimum typing speed of 8000 keystrokes per hour.
• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capability to multitask and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
