Job Description

Our Reno, NV laboratory is looking for a Lab Assistant to join their team! The Lab Assistant will complete a wide variety of support tasks for the Lab Technicians and Lab Analysts, ensuring best quality by following SGS' SOPs. Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks. Always follow safe laboratory practices and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Functions

• Maintains adequate supply of accessories, consumables, chemicals, etc. in each lab, to ensure efficiency of production work.
• Disposes of samples after the appropriate retention period.
• Documents in LIMS and disposes of expired / depleted chemicals.
• Decontaminates / cleans laboratory glassware, containers, accessories, etc., following SOPs.
• Performs administrative tasks, as needed.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories or prior experience working with one's hands (Required)
