Position Overview :
Entry level Engineer position that will assist in the design of mechanical equipment and systems for marine and industrial power generation and propulsion equipment manufacturer. Responsible for testing solutions to solve technical problems for current and new products.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :

- Design and document various components for AC Power generation equipment
- Create assembly drawings for manuals owners
- Performs calculations for systems and ensures designs comply with relevant codes
- Size and select mechanical components
- Maintain engineering and technical documentation
- Create mechanical drawings related to new products being developed
- Produce drawing revisions, engineering change notices and bills of materials
- Provide mechanical engineering support to production, parts and sales staff
- Collaborate with clients to approve mechanical designs
- Assist with the assembly and development of Engineering prototypes using hand tools, measuring and testing equipment
- Conduct testing, collect data and identify areas for improvement
- Performs other duties as assigned
