Responsibilities
- Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated personal protective equipment and meet OSHA safety requirements.
- Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements.
- Assists in preparing press and all job components for print job (loading specified anilox, sleeves, ink, film, etc.)
- Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility / corporate standards
- Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met
- Responsible for maintaining ink levels, viscosity an pH levels
- Responsible for ensuring non-used ink decks are under pump circulation with pH water to ensure proper pump performance
- Supports the change-over of each job under the direction of Operator
- Assists in trouble shooting machine when it is down or not performing to standard
- Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance
- Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
- Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
- Supports and maintains all activities related to Food Safety Management system
- Ability to sight ink formulas and distinguish between all color matches during the printing process through direct visual inspection.
- Responsible for managing and handling hazardous waste.
- Maintain an understanding of the materials used in production and their specific differences.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
