Program Manager
Enterprise Work & Asset Management IT Team. We have four major initiatives (possibly more) on the roadmap over the next 1.5 years that are all interdependent. We are seeking a highly experienced program manager to oversee the strategy, planning, communications, and execution across these initiatives.
High interaction with manager and PMs of the individual initiatives. Understanding the overarching goals and current plans. Providing strategic advice on plans and communication broadly. It will be a major coordination effort across these large projects to ensure we know impacts and dependencies far in advance. Each project is at various stages of planning, and we need to make progress quickly.
Coordinating with various project managers, business stakeholders, presenting plans to wide audiences, including executives. Anticipates internal and / or external business challenges, vendor and / or regulatory issues; recommends process, product, or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex projects with significant business, political or high-profile impact and high-risk dependencies. Brings about significant improvements and measurable business benefits by identifying, proposing, initiating, and leading significant programs of improvement. Enhances existing approaches to process improvement and / or develops new approaches. Monitors and controls resources, revenue, and costs across multiple projects in the program against the budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders. Advises on financial planning and budgeting. Develops financial plans and forecasts. Engages and influences senior managers to ensure the program will deliver the agreed business objectives. Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the program to ensure that each part contributes to the overall achievement of the program. Collects, summarizes, and reports on program KPIs often through the deployment of business management processes and systems. Identifies issues with program structure, cost, risk, interdependencies, impact on current business activities and the strategic benefits to be realized. Notifies projects / programs / change initiatives of issues and recommends and monitors corrective action. Plans and executes communication strategies to ensure program awareness and alignment. Reports on program status to all levels of stakeholders including executives. Ensures that senior management is both aware of and able to provide the required resources. Facilitates availability and optimum utilization of resources.
Requirements
A recognized expert within PM communities with 10+ years of experience. Utilities experience preferred but not required. PMP Certification preferred but not required.
