Sensor Electrical Engineer

As a Sensor Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of our System EE Team for the next generation Smart Glasses; driving the sensor electrical design and development, working on leading edge technologies, and collaborating with the cross-functional teams to deliver on our HW platforms. You will be part of a tight-knit group of highly skilled engineers at the forefront of the innovation for Meta HW products (MR / VR, etc.).

Sensor Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners to push the boundaries of technologies and deliver sensor solutions in battery operated products
• Lead efforts to integrate new sensor modalities into high volume consumer products through all stages of product development (from prototyping, design through mass production)
• Leverage analog, circuit design, and optoelectronics fundamentals to build, debug, and validate prototypes
• Apply electrical engineering fundamentals to convert reference designs into custom product solutions. Design schematics, supervise board / Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) layouts, and actively participate in design reviews to support sensors integration into product
• Optimize sensor architecture, sensor component selection and sensing system design
• Work closely with Contract Manufacturer / Joint Development Manufacturer CM / JDM resources to leverage their engineers and maximize the focus of internal resources on adding value to and differentiating our product
• Perform lab measurements and factory tests as needed to validate the design and resolve any issues
• Drive the resolution of technical issues by working with the cross-functional teams : Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Quality, Reliability as well as the various CM / JDM teams
