Equivity is seeking an experienced virtual paralegal to support attorneys in probate and estate administration matters. This is a remote opportunity to help guide families through the probate process with professionalism, efficiency, and compassion. Candidates should be well-versed in court procedures, document preparation, and managing deadlines associated with estate administration.
Key Responsibilities :
Draft and file probate court documents, including petitions, notices, waivers, inventories, accountings, and closing statements.
Prepare related correspondence and forms for clients, courts, and financial institutions.
Track probate timelines and court deadlines, ensuring timely filings and compliance.
Communicate with court clerks and maintain current knowledge of local rules and filing requirements.
Manage case files, task lists, and calendars using cloud-based legal software.
Assist with marshalling assets, preparing reports, and tracking distributions.
Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients during standard business hours (9 AM – 6 PM).
About You :
Minimum of 3 years of recent paralegal experience handling probate and estate administration matters.
Skilled in preparing and filing probate documents with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with state-specific probate processes and court systems.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and case files simultaneously.
Experience communicating with court personnel, financial institutions, and clients in a professional, responsive manner.
Familiar with cloud-based legal software such as Clio, MyCase, or similar.
Equipped with a Windows-based laptop, smartphone, and broadband internet connection.

Requirements : Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 3 years of recent paralegal experience in probate or estate administration.
Availability to respond to client requests within one hour, Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM.
Ability to work 20–40 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
