Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Student Involvement department on the Gainesville campus. The University of North Georgia¿s Student Involvement Office is seeking a diligent, creative, and dynamic student to serve as the primary editor for a student-led magazine, Interconnected. This federal work study position offers an outstanding opportunity to contribute significantly to a publication that celebrates student expression.
Responsibilities
- Lead the editorial team in planning, designing, and producing the magazine.
- Coordinate content and student submissions, and multimedia elements for the publication.
- Ensure editorial standards are met, including quality, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with contributors to develop content that reflects the work of UNG students.
- Gain InDesign skills, or recruit student designers, editors, and writers to assist the project through Student Involvement and UNG Connect.
- Manage the magazine's production schedule, from concept to distribution.
- Attend some Student Involvement events and tabling opportunities on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses to promote the magazine.
