Front Desk Student Assistant (Work-Study) - Department Of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science (CS) is looking for a service-oriented, proactive, and adaptable work-study student worker to provide support to the department's front desk reception and perform administrative tasks. Specific schedule will be determined at the time of hiring.
In this position, you will carry out various tasks and support the Department of Computer Science. The position has a lot of variety, skill-building, and responsibility. It is suited for someone who likes problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organization. Your duties are likely to evolve as you gain experience within the department. This is a long-term opportunity that can lead into Spring 2026 (depending on performance).
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for the front desk in the department's administrative suite. Welcome staff, faculty, and visitors to the department.
- Sort and deliver mail and packages received in the CS mailroom
- Make photocopies
- Manage the lost and found log
- Other duties as assigned
