A company is looking for a Medical Coder to support the inpatient and outpatient medical coding of various medical claims and records. Key Responsibilities Accurately assign medical codes including E&M codes, ICD-CM diagnoses, CPT, and HCPCS based on medical record documentation Review documentation to identify and resolve inconsistencies that may affect coding accuracy and patient care quality Educate providers and clinical staff on documentation issues to ensure coding compliance and accuracy Required Qualifications High School Diploma Valid medical coding certification (e.g., CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P) 3-5+ years of medical coding experience in a remote environment Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems Successful completion of a federal background check as part of the onboarding process
