About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead its growing Information Security team. The CISO will be responsible for developing and implementing effective security strategies to manage risks, crises, and incidents, and to ensure the protection of the company's intellectual property, sensitive data, and critical business processes. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for security in a corporate setting, who can collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance the effectiveness of the security team. The CISO will also be tasked with hiring and developing staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and staying abreast of the latest security technologies and management techniques.
Candidates for the CISO position at the company should have at least 10 years of relevant leadership experience, with a background in building and scaling security programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing cybersecurity incidents, coordinating with various teams, and representing the company in security matters. Extensive knowledge of security frameworks, zero trust architectures, and cloud-based service security is essential. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work across the enterprise, and a high level of integrity. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with security certifications such as CISSP or CISM, is required. The CISO will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and government entities and to engage with the executive team on security topics.
