About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in retail construction to oversee commercial retail projects in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing ground-up and / or interior renovation projects for national retailers, shopping centers, or mixed-use developments. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of retail construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes, and permitting requirements.
- Lead weekly project meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance management.
- Review and approve change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
- Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
