The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) invites applications for the role of Web Strategist.

The Web Strategist supports the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) website strategies and initiatives. The Web Strategist contributes to website strategies and initiatives through content development and optimization, website maintenance, digital marketing campaigns, training and education, and accessibility remediation. This position serves as a central resource for web content best practices, providing guidance to stakeholders from across the UNR Med and works closely with the senior web position within the organization. The position reports to the Lead, Marketing and Communications.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of enterprise content management systems (CMS), web accessibility standards, HTML, and SEO implementation. The ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating sound judgement, prioritization and time management will be key to success in the role. The ideal candidate will be able to align stakeholder goals with content strategy, build trust and relationships with leadership, and provide guidance to others working within the CMS.

Editorial experience and content writing in the English language are required.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree and two years of related professional experience OR

Master's Degree and one year of related professional experience.

Related Experience : within online web strategy, experience in search engine optimization (SEO), content management systems (CMS), HTML, content planning and editorial calendars, web accessibility and web content writing / editing

Compensation Grade B

Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience.
