POSITION SUMMARY
The Instrument Fitter is responsible for installing, servicing and repairing of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and controls while consistently completing work to meet customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan layout and installation in accordance with instructions or work requirements using drawings, blueprints, sketches and manuals
- Plan new or modified installations in compliance to P&ID’s, Safe Charts and schematics
- Maintain knowledge of various pneumatic and hydraulic systems architectures and capabilities
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install tubing and piping
- Perform multi-line panel breakout and configure group tubing runs
- Mount and install control panels, instruments and associated control / sensing devices
- Measure, cut and assemble tubing tray and tubing tray support systems
- Install tubing and clamps into tubing tray systems
- Observe function of installed equipment and systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement
- Repair or replace faulty tubing, valves, instruments and other devices
- Maintain technical competence by attending all classes and meetings as required
- Adhere to established company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations
- Maintain time records up to date along with signed customer service tickets
- Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
- Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
- Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and / or supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent education2+ years of instrumentation experience in an industrial settingBasic written and verbal skillsMust have the ability to perform work accuratelyMust be reliable and have good time management skillsFor new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screenFor new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy ServicesPHYSICAL DEMANDS
