Apparel Materials Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced Apparel Materials Developer to support design teams in selecting and creating fabrics that bring product concepts to life. This role combines creativity with technical expertise, driving material solutions across multiple seasonal lines and ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment while maintaining strong relationships with global vendor partners.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Apparel Materials Developer Responsibilities

• Partner with design teams to translate creative requests into functional textile solutions.
• Manage development of fabrics across knits, wovens, ribs, and printed textiles from concept through commercialization.
• Oversee multiple seasonal material lines, balancing project timelines and priorities.
• Communicate regularly with international vendors via email and video conferencing to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, technical design, program management, and color development.

Apparel Materials Developer Qualifications

Compensation : Up to $37.33 / hr. (DOE)
