Director, Patient Care Services Registered Nurse

The Director, Patient Care Services Registered Nurse leads, directs, and manages high-performance teams with accountability for operations, quality, customer service, and overall success of assigned departments and product lines. Areas of responsibility include Behavioral Health, Inpatient Rehab and Medsurg nursing units that directly impact hospital operations and patient experience. This role carries significant strategic and financial impact on the current and future success of Sentara Hospitals. The Director ensures operational excellence, quality outcomes, and patient-centered care while fostering engagement and professional growth among team members.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.

In addition to the high-quality heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital, our facility is home to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and several other dedicated facilities and specialized services.
