Responsibilities
include :
Training Course Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain instructional training courses tailored to DoD software systems, ensuring alignment with DoD standards, policies, and regulations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, project teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and content for training materials.
- Utilize instructional design methodologies to create engaging, interactive, and effective training content for both live and CBT delivery.
Curriculum Planning :
Develop and manage training curricula, learning objectives, and assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs.Establish training schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate training sessions to meet project and organizational needs.Training Delivery :
Conduct live training sessions, workshops, and seminars for personnel, including hands-on training, demonstrations, and simulations.Administer CBT modules and track learner progress and performance to ensure successful knowledge transfer.Create interactive workbooks, eBooks, and guides to enhance user training and continuity.Evaluation and Improvement :
Continuously assess the quality and effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements based on feedback and emerging industry best practices.Implement a feedback loop to collect input from trainees, instructors, and stakeholders to enhance training content and delivery methods.Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain detailed records of training activities, attendance, and completion certificates.Generate reports on training metrics, learner performance, and training program effectiveness for management and regulatory purposes.Author monthly release notes related to latest product updates and changes.Here's what you need :
At least four years of practical experience in the instructional design & eLearning development field4-7 years of experience with Adobe Captivate or other common course development & authoring tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator or RoboHelp.Strong editing, proof reading and / or technical writing skills.Keen attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.Bonus points if you have :
Familiarity with consulting practicesKnowledge of military readiness, operations and / or DoD experienceSecurity Clearance :
Eligibility to obtain a secret-level, DoD-issued security clearance is a must.Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design or related discipline or, at least seven years of professional, hands-on experience as an Instructional Designer in lieu of four-year degree.Work Schedule :
