Manager, Sourcing & Procurement
The Manager, Sourcing & Procurement handles the company's day-to-day sourcing & procurement operations inclusive, but not limited to, vendor management and risk management. The Senior Manager supports new product developments, sourcing activities and daily tasks and transactions. The Senior Manager ensures the best sourcing practices are employed to support the company’s financial, service, and quality goals. This role works with the VP, Sourcing & Procurement + Quality, and the rest of the team to ensure that the business is managing the entire P&L effectively in terms of procurement of goods and services and will lead cross-functional cost-savings initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage supplier cost, quality, and delivery
- Implement processes to manage risk within the supply chain
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Drive cost reduction activities
- Develop procurement processes for continuous improvement
Principal Accountabilities :
Collaborate with the VP and the team to develop supplier strategy, risk management strategy, methodology and operating model including governance, integration with S&OPProactively Monitors supplier risks based on strategic direction, financial health / risk, due diligence, market and industry position, capabilities, and capacity, and robust RFISupport brands new product innovation and core growth requirements, including close collaboration with PD, Packaging Engineering and Supply PlanningResponsible for achieving company’s margin and cost targets for all new products, manage and negotiate supplier quotationsManage and communicate vendor capacity & lead time; proactively works with vendor to reduce risk in timing or capacity and leads communication with internal stakeholdersMonitor and ensure on-time delivery of new product launches by troubleshooting production issues with brand, planning, creative, PD and regulatory teams, production, transportation, and distribution.Collaborates with Item Master & Brand to ensure SKU Data is accurately setup in system and with Packaging for BOM validation.Participates in Project Review Meetings, leads and supports supplier meetings, and is actively involved in Investment Review Meetings and other meetings as required.Collaborate with the VP and the team to lead procurement across the whole business, working closely with function leads to manage agreement & contract negotiation, Incoterms, Payment Terms, operating cost management, and cross-functional cost management initiatives.Collaborate with the VP and the team to lead the total business cost agenda, including managing cost & margin targets, execution of projects and driving accountability with function leadsSeek innovative and cost savings opportunities in every aspect of the job to achieve continuous Improvements to supplier quality, pricing, lead time, and terms.Responsible for driving cost savings by optimizing pricing tiers, collaborating with Product Development on achieving product features at the optimal cost, and understanding cost drivers, raw materials pricing, and market factors.Responsible for Project Kickoffs and overseeing the planning and implementation of Technical Transfer Projects, supplier Resource and Cost Savings ProjectsCollaborating with other functions leads to execute Other FORMA’s strategies such as (Sustainability and MOCRA), including focus areas and priorities, goals and commitments, and driving accountability for performance.Other duties as assignedKey Working Relationships :

Required Skills & Experience :
BS / BA degree5+ years in a sourcing, procurement of operations management position in a fast-moving timeline with cross-team interdependenciesColor Cosmetics experience preferred.Demonstrated experience in strategy development and day-to-day operational responsibility in procurement, vendor management, and risk management.?Experience coordinating across multiple supply chain departments.Proven ability to communicate effectively and prioritize and escalate risks as needed.Proficiency with timeline tracking and dashboard reporting to present information clearly and concisely.Experience working with suppliers, sourcing, operations in Taiwan and China a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsMandarin fluency strongly preferredTravel Requirements :
Some travel required, likely project specific.

Additional Information :
FORMA Brands takes a market-based approach to pay, and amounts will vary depending on your geographic location. The salary range reflected here is for positions based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future without notice.
Compensation Range : $107,000 - $134,000 per year.
Location : Los Angeles; hybrid position with three days onsite at corporate office.
