Job Responsibilities
Provides Information Systems Technology instruction focused mainly in Network Systems Management content to students enrolled in courses within the subject area. Provides curriculum development and assessment, care of facilities, equipment and other details pertinent to the program. Manages community outreach functions related to the program. May teach in the day, evening, on-campus (all campuses), as well as alternate delivery methods (i.e. internet, hybrid, etc.).
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master's degree in a computing related discipline; or Master's degree in a related discipline with a concentration in computing and a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA Security+ Certification is preferred. Knowledge of networking and computing concepts, applications, operating systems, network protocols (TCP / IP, Ethernet, VoIP), and networking hardware is required, as well as the ability to keep abreast of networking technologies, and the demonstrated ability to teach these skills, to manage a classroom environment and to participate productively in College committees. Cisco and / or Microsoft certifications are preferred.
