The Manager – IT is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of IT assets and access controls across the organization. This role ensures efficient procurement, deployment, tracking, and retirement of hardware and software assets, while maintaining compliance with licensing agreements and contractual obligations. The manager will lead a team, collaborate with vendors, and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Team & Vendor Management
- Lead and mentor a team of IT asset and access management professionals.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely procurement, delivery, and support of IT assets.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with vendors and suppliers.
Hardware & Inventory Management
Oversee the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT hardware.Maintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets using asset management tools.Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.Access Management
Implement and manage access control policies and procedures.Coordinate with IT security teams to ensure secure and appropriate access to systems and data.Monitor and audit access logs to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.Procurement & Licensing
Manage procurement processes for hardware, software, and related services.Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and renewals.Maintain records of software contracts and licensing documentation.Reporting & Analytics
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on asset utilization, inventory status, procurement activities, and access controls.Provide insights and recommendations to improve asset efficiency and reduce costs.Support audits and compliance reviews with accurate documentation and reporting.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years of experience in IT asset management, access management, or related roles.Proven experience in team leadership and vendor management.Strong understanding of IT hardware, software licensing, and procurement processes.Proficiency in asset management tools and reporting platforms.Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred Skills :
ITIL or similar certification.Experience with ServiceNow, JAMF, SCCM, or other asset management platforms.Familiarity with cybersecurity and access control frameworks.
