Position Overview
The Paul V. Sherlock Center on Disabilities is seeking Assistant Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations of the Center. Receiving guidance and support from the center’s Executive Director, the Assistant Director will assist with all aspects of departmental operations and maintain responsibility for all major functional unit(s) within the department. The selected individual will support Sherlock Center’s philosophy and core values to facilitate the achievement of its short- and long-term goals. Play a key role in Sherlock Center’s ongoing strategic planning process and enhancement of the Center’s infrastructure to maintain and deepen its leadership role in the disability community. Primary responsibilities include administrative support services, human resources management, management information systems, communications, budget development, and daily operations
Primary Purpose

Essential Duties
SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Works under the administrative direction of the Executive Director with wide latitude for the exercise of initiative and independent judgement in the development and implementation of agency functions; work is subject to review for effectiveness and conformance with applicable rules, regulations professional standards and provisions of law.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED : Plans, assigns, coordinates, directs and reviews the work of an administrative, management and technical staff, and through that staff exercises supervision over assigned agency staff.
Occasional Duties
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director of the Sherlock Center.
