Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and support mission-critical databases in cloud environments.

This is a hands-on role with responsibilities spanning operational support, performance tuning, automation, and architectural design across a diverse range of database technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Administration & Optimization

  • Ensure high availability and performance for both SQL and NoSQL databases (, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, AWS RDS etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues across all database platforms.
  • Participating in the development of database operation and maintenance products and related components.

Cloud Operations & Automation

  • Manage cloud-based database services (primarily on AWS) including provisioning, patching, backups, monitoring and replication.
  • Implement automation for monitoring, scaling, and maintenance using scripting or tools like Terraform / Ansible.

    • Architecture & Design

  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective database architectures tailored to application needs.
  • Guide database technology selection based on workload characteristics and performance requirements.

    • Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate best practices in database design and cloud operations.
  • Provide technical support and training to the development teams within the company's business departments.
  • Research and recommend emerging tools and techniques to improve database performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related technical disciplines.
  • 7+ years of hands-on DBA experience with both SQL and NoSQL systems (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Expertise in database performance tuning, monitoring, and high-availability configuration and maintenance operations.
  • Proven ability to support mission-critical systems with 24 / 7 uptime requirements in production environments.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems, including service deployment, troubleshooting, and tuning.
  • Experience working with AWS / Azure / GCP services to efficiently manage databases in cloud.
  • Knowledge of opensource monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines for database changes.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices

    • Benefits

    Salary range : $140,000 - $180,000
