Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the HR Support Supervisor (Staff Services Manager I), the incumbent is independently responsible for the operation and management of the following human resources programs : position control, labor relations (LR), workers’ compensation, a variety of employee leave and disability programs, and human resources-related special projects. Performs the more responsible, varied, and complex analytical assignments involving labor relations, and employee disability leave entitlements including, but not limited to, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Non-Industrial Disability Insurance (NDI), State Disability Insurance (SDI), medical Leave of Absence (LOA), and Catastrophic Leave.
This position is office-centered and is eligible for telework up to 1 day a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed / required. A teleworker is considered office-centered if they work less than fifty percent of their time from an alternate work location. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
The reporting location for this position is the Bateson Building located at 1600 9th Street, 2nd Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814.

Working Conditions
Professional office environment working in standard office configuration, executive offices and cubicles.
Daily use of laptop computers, phone, copiers, general office equipment, and related software applications and the Internet.
Occasional overtime may be required.
Special Requirements
