The Intake Coordinator performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative / operational / customer support assignments while protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential.
The Intake Coordinator reviews new cases and calls patients to verify demographic information following CMS policies. Inputs cases in system after information is confirmed. Assigns cases to registered nurses for initial SOC assessment completion and assures timely submission of all documentation. Coordinates with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations. As well as any other responsibility required by the agency.
Use Your Skills To Make An Impact
- Experience in managing patient admissions, including collecting and verifying patient information
- Previous work in healthcare environments such as hospitals, clinics, or home health agencies
- Proficiency in using EHR systems to input and manage patient data (Kinnser / Wellsky)
- Familiarity with office software like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Strong customer service orientation to handle patient inquiries and concerns
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
- Precision in handling sensitive patient information and documentation
- Competence in addressing and resolving issues that may arise during the intake process
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40
Pay Range : The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $39,000 - $49,400 per year
