Job Title : Project Manager Location : Newark, NJ Type : Contract Contractor Work Model : Onsite Pay range : $48.07 / hour to $57.69 / hour PROJECT MANAGER SUMMARY : Based in Newark. Occasional site visits to the Burlington, Camden and Mercer, as well as Hudson and Bergen County areas will be required. The person must have Microsoft Suite knowledge and the ability to work independently using the software. Project Management experience is required. RESPONSIBILITIES : Coordinate with stakeholders to capture business requirements, create project scopes of work schedule(s), and budgets, and coordinate resource(s) for successful and timely completion of projects. Act as a liaison between sponsor, stakeholders, team members, and vendors for funding and project / program requirements. Coordinate with project team members and subject matter experts for input of associated systems for projects. Based upon stakeholder / user input, design associated low voltage / SCADA / electrical controls systems for (but not limited to) data, video, voice, CCTV, access control, intrusion, etc. Assist and / or prepare preliminary network diagrams, layouts, elevations, and installation details for project drawings contractors / vendors to finalize and implement after approval. Assist or manage risks and issues for project delivery based on staffing (resource) and financial constraints. Provide on-site construction administration and inspections to ensure improvements are installed / constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications and regulatory standards. Gather information and develop scopes of work for future Grant (and otherwise funded) projects based upon stakeholders’ input and field observations / assessments, including supporting documents (i.e. budgets, schedules, justifications) in compliance with procurement requirements / standards. Manage and organize all aspects of the Homeland Security Grant projects in collaboration with personnel. Formulate the TSGP Project Scope document with all supporting documentation for submission. Create project timeline include Initial Planning Conference (IPC), Kick off meeting, Mid-Planning Conference (MPC) and Final Planning Conference (FPC) before the beginning of projects which include installation of equipment onboard Light Rail Vehicles (LRV’s) and attend all meetings / conferences in preparation for any Drill / Exercise. Prepare presentations and reports of project information, funding and / or status and discuss same with stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; 10+ years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Minimum 5 years of proven project management experience, including the design of mid-to-large-scale projects Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical, communications, or controls engineering Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to provide full-service solutions including planning, design and specification development, project management, implementation, and operational support Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Experience reviewing and coordinating design submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs Familiarity with NJDCA construction permit processes is a plus Experience with servers, control systems, CCTV cameras, LED lighting, and logic controllers (PLCs, microcontrollers, and multiplexers) is a plus Experience with the design and / or installation of low voltage, SCADA, and electrical control systems for data, video, voice, CCTV, access control, intrusion, etc. is a plus RCDD certification is a plus System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
