The Controllers duties include safeguarding assets and assuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal controls and checks across all departments. He or she manages the accuracy and productivity of the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing / billing, customer collections, payroll, fixed asset records, general accounting, cost accounting and operations. The Controller collaborates directly with the Job Cost Accountant in analyzing budgets, initiating corrective actions needed and summarizing information and trends. The Controller also works closely with the CEO to prepare federal and state tax returns, provide financial analysis tools to evaluate the companys special projects, programs, capital expenditures, job costing and financial statements and acts as a liaison between the Operations and Estimating departments regularly.

Specific Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the accounts payable and receivable departments daily operations including :

• Data Entry as department needs demands
• Review Document Imaging entries for accuracy
• Review prepared check before mailing
• Reconcile A / P retainage pay apps
• Manage AP department
