Role Summary
The RFP Associate Editor plays a lead role in advancing the strategic sales objectives of T. Rowe Price's global distribution units. The RFP Associate Editor functions as the primary liaison with key principals from our global distribution units and subject matter experts - in the project management and completion of prospect and client information requestswith the objective of winning and / or retaining business.
The RFP Associate Editor is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire proposal process. Working within stated deadlines, the RFP Associate Editor collaborates directly with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Investments, Legal and other business units, to strategically and accurately position T. Rowe Price and its products, personnel, policies, and procedures in proposalsbroadly defined as RFPs, RFIs and DDQs. The RFP Associate Editor is expected to adhere to internal processes and partner effectively with team members across Global RFP to deliver high-quality, compelling documents.
Responsibilities
The RFP Associate Editor is responsible for managing the proposal process and the related network of internal and external constituents, which includes :
- Communicating with sales, client service and investment professionals to assess prospect and client needs, have a basic understanding of the firm's strategic advantages in the marketplace, and create proposals and due diligence documents that express these advantages clearly and accurately, in a timely manner.
- Effectively collaborating with all stakeholders required for effective proposal creation and delivery : Where appropriate, mentoring junior members of the RFP team, accurately highlight outliers, ensure information and data is correctly sourced; working with RFP Specialists, SMEs, and Content Managers to ensure that original or revised content is vetted and captured.
- Identifying and implementing best practices across the proposal development value chain : working within the agreed protocols and parameters of the T. Rowe Price RFP / DDQ process; including use of RFP Library Responsive, leveraging tech solutions, adhering to process and policy documents, sourcing information internally, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date statistics in the record system.
- The RFP Associate Editor will be working on multiple project proposals at any given time so needs to be adept at project management coordination to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of deadline-driven procurement documents, in addition to continually forwarding the initiatives of the organization.
- Supporting the adoption of technical solutions : Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance proposal development efficiency and effectiveness. The RFP Associate Editor needs to stay abreast of technical developments at the industry and firm level, demonstrating optimal utilization of the RFP team's technological resources. Active involvement in testing new technologies and defining best practices is crucial, encompassing AI utilization, process automation recommendations, and other innovative solutions.
- Shadowing and supporting RFP Editors on the largest, most complex proposals (both standard and fully custom offers) that are critical to the organization.

78,000.00 - $133,000.00 for the location of : Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
85,500.00 - $146,000.00 for the location of : Washington, D.C.
97,500.00 - $166,000.00 for the location of : New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
