The Marketing & Community Engagement team at WSU Tech is seeking a talented, detail oriented, deadline-driven, creative, and self-motivated Visual Designer ! This is an in person and on-site position located in Wichita, KS. If you have a strong physical and / or online portfolio with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience showing creative and engaging design for both print and web, you may be just who we are looking for! The Marketing & Community Engagement team believes in a work hard, play hard mentality, and we are always looking for the next great marketing opportunity. Under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Creative Services, the Visual Designer will be tasked with numerous design projects to attract leads, announce new programs and events, enhance our website effectiveness with aesthetics, communicate both internal and external marketing clearly, and commit to upholding our WSU Tech Visual Standards in every project.   • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external partners to develop marketing collateral.

    • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field is highly preferred.

    • Preferred Experience & Skills :

  • Proven professional experience (a minimum of 2-4 years) in visual design, preferably in a marketing or advertising environment, showcasing a strong portfolio of work.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A progressive work history as demonstrated by a strong online and / or print portfolio exhibiting top-quality work for both web and print, required.

  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Experience in utilizing web and social media tools to achieve business objectives, preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines with strong organization skills, required.
  • Ability to deal with diverse and flexible situations in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of Photography with DSLR cameras, preferred.
  • Experience in dimensional design, including but not limited to vehicles, large transportation, facilities, fixtures, etc., preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
