What you will be doing :
- Perform service and regular preventative maintenance work on conveyor systems including fabricate, install and repair conveyor systems as planned while keeping appropriate maintenance records.
- Test and trouble shoot problems with equipment, conveyors, sortation system, carton erectors, shrink sleeve applicator machine, facility systems (plumbing, electrical), and anything else associated with the operation of a distribution facility
- Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
- Set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment as necessary
- Troubleshoot micro controllers like Omron, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Keyence, and Siemens PLCs with the ability to identify correct I / O points as well as match the addressing with machine schematic
- Evaluate, detect and report equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions
- This position supports a 24 / 7 environment and requires on-call coverage after normal business hours and on weekends.
