Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for effective decision making and communication with internal and external customers to ensure customer requirements are satisfied. This includes, but is not limited to : analyzing inventory levels and customer forecasts to direct steel procurement; directing material conversion and shipment of product through shop order placement; and gathering, analyzing, and providing competitive information to managers for spot / pick-up opportunities and developing, communicating, and implementing strategies regarding inventory levels, production times and satisfaction of customer needs. To ensure customer satisfaction, comprehensive communication and decision- making dialog with Accounting, Technical Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Outside Sales, Management and Administrative Staff is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Customer Service and Relations expectations

• Develop a complete understanding of customer needs and expectations, communicate these expectations to other departments, and analyze data and develop strategies for meeting these expectations.
• Gain new business opportunities through managing spot buy process : evaluate customer needs, select material, confirm material availability, conform processing availability, and ensure competitive pricing.
• Increase sales through building customer relationships and delivering superior customer service.

2. Total Account Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Prefer an Associate's Degree in a related field with two to four years of sales, purchasing or customer service experience in a production environment. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

This work is performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people

Salary Range : $50,000-$70,000
