Pre-K Instructional Aid

Good Shepherd Catholic School serves students in Pre-K through Grade 8. GSBH provides a competitive education, rooted in our Catholic faith with a focus on developing the whole child. The ideal candidate will assist the Pre-K teachers in their classroom with various activities and class and yard supervision. The candidate will also work collaboratively with administration and support the school in covering duties at lunch and recesses as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Catholic faith and church teachings
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
• Demonstrate professional behavior; be reliable, flexible
• Demonstrate self-motivated and creative abilities and to undertake projects under own direction
• Support teachers and students using effective classroom management protocols; monitoring student progress; evaluating student performance
• Effective communication skills
• Show interest and enthusiasm for working young with children
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks per school protocol and / or administration’s request
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Completed live scan fingerprinting and VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (we can help with this)
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A minimum of 6 Early Childhood Child Development Associate Certification

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
