Information Systems Supervisor
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Information Systems Supervisor.
This position requires a comprehensive technical understanding of networking principles, strong security acumen, and proactive operational management to ensure the county's network infrastructure is reliable, secure, and accessible to authorized users wherever they are located. This role is pivotal for supporting government functions, public services, and secure communication across departments.
This position will manage the Information System Section of the Risk Management Division (RMD) through the following methods :
- Implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
- Operate as a liaison between County ETS and RMD to support and manage County networks, hardware and software.
- Responsible for installing updates, implementations, configurations, and maintenance in accordance with County policies in support of RMD operations.
- Coordinating with internal managers to assist with continued review, automation, and process improvement.
- Supervising technical staff and support business end-users by implementing solutions that simplify business processes and improve efficiency for billing systems and other applications.
- Managing and overseeing related projects from inception to completion as assigned.
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science or closely related field. (One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.) Requires four (4) years experience in systems analysis, systems design and / or programming experience relevant to Risk Management database management including six (6) months lead work / supervisory experience. Special Certifications and Licenses None. Preferences - Master's degree in computer science or computer related field - Information Technology Security Certifications - Microsoft SQL Server experience - Business Intelligence Reporting experience - Windows Server Administration experience - Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) - Crystal Reports experience - Marsh ClearSight Enterprise experience
