LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing nonprofit client in the Oklahoma City, OK area to fill a Director of Finance position!

This individual will lead our client's accounting and financial operations functions and ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in nonprofit finance, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building scalable systems.

Hybrid work schedule of 2 to 3 days in office is offered.

Responsibilities

Direct the preparation and consolidation of internal and external financial reports with precision and timeliness.

Ensure adherence to GAAP and nonprofit-specific accounting standards.

Partner with leadership to deliver financial insights that drive strategic decisions.

Lead cash flow forecasting and support organization-wide budgeting efforts.

Perform accounting services for both internal and external stakeholders.

Review and authorize key financial agreements.

Maintain banking relationships.

Manage payroll operations.

Design and implement internal control systems to protect organizational assets and ensure data integrity.

Oversee tax compliance.

Coordinate annual audits and maintain audit readiness throughout the year.

Manage corporate governance tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.

CPA or MBA preferred

Multi-entity experience

Experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.

Analytical thinker with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and professionalism.

Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced settings with competing priorities.
