About the Role
The organization is seeking a visionary and strategic leader for the dual role of CEO and Editor-in-Chief. The successful candidate will harness the organization's legacy and lead its evolution into a vibrant platform for feminist thought, creativity, and community building. Responsibilities include setting a clear vision, overseeing editorial direction across platforms, expanding reach and visibility, serving as the chief fundraiser, cultivating relationships with donors, and leading a talented team. The ideal candidate should be inspired by the organization's feminist mission, possess a strong background in fundraising and editorial work, and have a strategic, outward-facing approach. They should be a compelling communicator, a thought leader, and a champion of cultural and communal currents. The role requires a leader comfortable with strategic planning and daily operations of a small nonprofit, an intergenerational connector, and a mentor. Familiarity with media habits of younger generations and enthusiasm for fostering community connections are essential. While no candidate needs to have every qualification, a combination of relevant experiences and qualities will be considered a strong fit.
