POSITION SUMMARY
In this Business Development Manager role this individual will be responsible for setting strategy, identifying, evaluating and executing growth opportunities in support of U.S. Energy's vision. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the refined products' value chain, strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of structuring and closing deals.
This position will be located in Houston, TX.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and assess new business opportunities (acquisition, existing asset enhancement, lease, etc.) in the energy space
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity to inform strategy
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential projects and partnerships
- Build financial models and business cases to support investment decisions
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure deal viability and compliance
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including refiners, marketers, traders, logistics providers, and regulatory bodies
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to evaluate technical feasibility and support project development
- Assist in permitting, regulatory filings, and stakeholder engagement for new infrastructure projects
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business development activities, market intelligence, and project progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy, operations, legal, and finance to align business development efforts with corporate goals
- Develop key performance metrics to own and drive accountability for decisions
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company products and policies
- Mentor, develop and assist in the training of fellow team members
